Bringing the shortened chassis, space frame and body mouldings together proved the integrity of the design and defined areas of rework and mould alterations before production tooling was fully recognised.

Shortening the chassis by 400mm and rerouting brake pipes and petrol feed tubing and introducing adjustable front suspension with the space frame proved the strength of the structure as an independent stand alone unit.

One side of the clay model was worked on until the designer was satisfied that his design reflected his sketch and was feasible with the engineering requirements and then the model was duplicated the other side.
